Time waits for no man so we are told.  As I have watched my children grow I understand that saying better then when I was younger. When you are young it seems that mature age (nice way of saying old….isn’t it?) is far away.  But as the years quickly pass by you begin to understand each precious moment.

Zeb turned 8 years old this week. I truly do not know where those 8 years went. But then again I am trying to figure out how RJ turned 26.  Zeb has turned into an amazing young man. He fills our hearts with love, our home with laughter and some mischievousness. He is devoted fiercely to his brothers and his father and I.  He is smart as a whip and certainly his own “man” if you will.  This is shown in the picture below as what he is wearing is certainly not a look in vogue today. 

He has a passion days of old, which is unusual in his age group.  But since our entire family has a deep connection to history I don’t know why it surprises me.  For several months he has wanted knickers, vest, hat and all.  This is reflective of his current favorite time era, 1890’s to post WW I. So for his birthday we got him his request.  He was thrilled.  And I must say, he sports the look very well.
